GUIDELINES FOR EVENT ORGANISERS
The 2026 NSW Supersprint document package has been designed by the NSW Supersprint Panel to leverage the methodology used in 2025, to comply with Motorsport Australia’s National Competiton Rules (NCR’s) and to integrate two competitions in each event, the Pro Speed Racing NSW Supersprint Championships and the Pro Speed Racing NSW Club Supersprint Series.
The Panel’s Vision is to base these events on three pillars: Customer Focus, Simplicity and Consistency.
The key strategies in achieving this Vision objective are to:
1. Utilise the same methodology for every NSW Supersprint Round, irrespective of the Club hosting the event. This has proven to be effective for competitors as they become used to the requirements not changing with each event, and that results in fewer administration errors requiring correction.
2. To streamline the competitor, event administration and vehicle compliance processes through simplicity and the use of online technology.
3. Provide the best value experience for each competitor and make it as easy as possible for Club officials.
2026 Event Planning Schedule
The following dates will be used for promotional and communication purposes. Please use these dates in both your planning schedule and the Supplementary Regulations to meet competitors’ expectations:

Entry information via supersprintnsw.com
For consistency, Event Entry information will in the first instance be available to competitors under the “Events” tab on the www.supersprintnsw.com website. Links will be provided to entrants on that page to the online Motorsport Australia or ARDC Event Entry system as well as all other information and forms required by competitors for that event.
If required a link can also be provided to a specified page on the host Club’s website as well.
2026 Competitor Documentation
In 2026, all NSW Supersprint competitors will need to be registered online in this website.
The Panel will be using an Access database system to administer the 2026 Championships while we integrate the two competitions into this website for introduction in the 2027 season.
The Supersprint Panel will manage the registrant’s data for both competitions in this system and will provide Event Secretaries with up to date and accurate registrant and vehicle information.
For each event using the Motorsport Australia Event Entry system, the Supersprint Panel will upload the Event Entry data from that system into the online Championship administration system. Event Secretaries will need to provide the Panel with an Event Entry data download weekly prior to the event and then as requested during the two weeks proceeding the event.
The Panel will check the data of each competitor to confirm, in particular, the competition number and class of each competitor and make sure that the event entry data matches the registration data for each NSW Supersprint competitor. The Panel will also manage competitor’s Ranking Times upon which the event grid groups are organised as well as setting the grid groups as described in the “Panel Support” section below.
Event Secretaries will be provided with a range of reports, including an Excel File for Timing, Grid Mashall Grid Sheets and a wide variety of other reports to assist with the administration of their event.
A set of Clerk of the Course Drivers Briefing Notes will need to be provided to competitors prior to the Event. This can either be provided to the Panel by the Event Secretary in .pdf format for uploading to the website’s Entry page or the Panel’s SSP 17 Drivers Briefing Notes may be used. Alternatively, the following Word template can be used by the clerk of the Course as a base for a custom Drivers Briefing Notes if for example additional information is required: SSP 17 Drivers Briefing Note (Word).
Please use the below following links for documents to include in your Event Entry system.
Please note that those documents marked “Draft” have not yet been finalised for 2026 competition.
2025 links below will be updated to 2026 once the document is approved.

Pre-Event Administration Checks
To ensure that all checks have been completed prior to the event, Event Secretaries should check that a Parent/Guardian Consent has been completed for any driver is under 18 years of age, and that competitor’s competition licenses are checked using Motorsport Australia’s online batch license check facility prior to the event.
The Motorsport Australia Event Entry system has all competitors legally declare that they are a current member of a Motorsport Australia affiliated Sporting Car Club, that they have read the Supplementary Regulations and Drivers Briefing Notes and have inspected and checked their vehicle and that it complies with the Events’ scrutineering requirements.
With the above in place, the only administration check required before competition is to sight the photo ID of each competitor to ensure the drivers wrist band is placed on the entered competitor.
NSW Supersprint Panel Support
The Panel will provide the host Club with an excel file for Timing, Grid Marshal Sheets, Scrutineering labels and all event audit and check-in documentation required by the Chief Scrutineer.
Grid Sheets
From the event entry data at the Entry Close Date, the Panel will construct a set of draft Grid sheets containing relevant competitor information and will email this direct to competitors for checking on the Friday 9 days out as per the Timetable above. Competitors will have until 10:00pm on the following Sunday (Late Entry Closing Date) to reply.
The Panel will then update the draft Grid Sheets with the information received from competitors and add any Late Entries received by that deadline as well. The Panel will forward the final Grid Sheets to the Event Secretary on the following Monday for circulation to competitors with other event information.
Competitors whose entries are accepted after the 10:00pm Sunday deadline will be placed at the back of a grid group or in the last group in the rotation.
Scrutineering Stickers
The Panel will provide the necessary data to the Scrutineering stocker printer on the Tuesday prior to the event as per the above Schedule.
Competitors whose entries are accepted after the Late Entry closing deadline will not have scrutineering stickers printed but will have handwritten stickers issued on the day.
A set of blank scrutineering stickers will also be produced to allow for any unforeseen problems on the day.
At the conclusion of scrutineering, the Chief Scrutineer will take any printed scrutineering stickers “left over” to the Event Secretary, where they will both investigate whether either the competitor has not turned up on the day, or if their car does not have a scrutineering sticker on it.
The Event Scrutineering / Check-in Process
Scrutineering Check-in Process
This is an express process which requires all competitors to first attend the Registration location (eg the Hinxman Room at SMSP) and present to two tables in succession as below:
The first is the Helmet Check table. Competitor’s helmets are first checked for compliance and once passed, have a coloured sticker applied to the right-hand side of the helmet so that it is visible through the driver’s window.
Next, competitors then proceed to one of the two other tables, one for Vehicles with log books and the other for Vehicles without log books. Competitors are to show their photo ID at the respective table as well as their Log Book (if applicable) to collect their scrutineering sticker and driver’s wrist band.
Scrutineering Windscreen Stickers
In addition to the vehicle’s scrutineering approval status, each windscreen sticker will contain the competitor details as well as their assigned Group and Grid Position.
Privateers (ie competitors who do not have a registered competition number) will be issued with a red “Audit Required” windscreen sticker. These competitors must bring their vehicle and apparel to the scrutineering bay for a full safety inspection before 9:30am. Vehicles displaying a red “Audit Required” windscreen sticker will not be permitted on the track.
Competitors with vehicles that are issued with a yellow “Audit Required” windscreen sticker are required to bring their vehicle and apparel to the scrutineering bay between 9:30am and 1:00pm for a scrutineering inspection and a self-extraction test. Vehicles displaying a yellow “Audit Required” sticker will not be permitted on the track after 1:00pm.
All other competitors will be issued with a green “Scrutineering Approved” windscreen sticker and are permitted to enter the track to compete without any further scrutineering inspection.
Other Signage
Championship competitors will be issued with a “Type” sticker, as shown opposite, with their scrutineering sticker. This label is to be positioned in a suitable location on the rear window. If the vehicle does not have a rear window, it is to be placed in a position at the rear where it is visible from the rear. Competitors are requested to leave this sticker on their car to save replacing it at every round.
All Competitors who have not driven on the circuit before are to display a “X” at the rear of their vehicle in electrical tape of a contrasting colour to the cars body, the size being 150mm square.
