About the NSW Supersprint Panel
The Motorsport Australia NSW/ACT Supersprint Panel (SSP) is an advisory body with it’s Chair appointed by the Motorsport Australia NSW/ACT State Council Executive (SCE).
Members of the SSP are invited to join by the Panel Chair and are approved by the SCE for a three year term. In accordance with Motorsport Australia good governance regulations, Panel members may serve a maximum of three 3 year terms.
The role of the SSP is to provide advice and champion the sport of Supersprinting with the SCE and to administer the NSW/ACT State Supersprint Championships. The SSP provides the framework, ie the Sporting, Technical and Supplementary regulations, for these Championships which are organised and run by host clubs or organisations. The SSP provides competitor registration and event support for the organisers so that every Round is conducted as close to the same way as possible, even though being organised by different organisations.
2026 saw the inclusion of a Club Supersprint Series being incorporated into each of the State Supersprint Championships Rounds. With no cost for registration in the Club Supersprint Series, this is an excellent level at which to start developing track skills and then graduating to the State Supersprint Championships to compete with others in their Class.
SSP members come from a variety of Motorsport Australia affiliated Sporting Car Clubs, with a range of experience from being being current or past competitors and/or officials in this sport. This diversity of this supersprinting experience is important to help the SSP develop this sport, with the goal of providing a great experience to it’s customers, competitors and officials, through a focus on continuous improvement.
If you are interested in becoming an SSP member and putting back into our sport, please contact the Panel Chair. SSP meetings are held online via Microsoft Teams at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of every month, except November which is the annual in-person dinner meeting at the Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club Bistro.
