Quicker Log Book Checks

posted in: Uncategorized 0

The CAMS NSW Supersprint Panel has removed the requirement for helmet checks at event registration for competitors with CAMS Log Booked cars. Several years ago the apparel check was removed from this process and ongoing audits have shown that this initiative which was designed to speed up the registration process has not resulted in a lowering of safety standards. Chief Scrutineers now have the option to not require a helmet inspection at event registration. The first event that this will be implemented will be Round 2 at Wakefield Park Raceway on 28th April 2019. This will only be applicable to competitors with CAMS Log Booked cars that are entered in events with Targeted Scrutiny in place. Helmet and apparel checks will then become part of the target scrutiny system at each event.
