Round 1, Sunday 1st March SMSP Druitt (North) Circuit. (Entries Closed)

Round 1 of the 2020 Motorsport Australia Zestino Tires NSW Supersprint Championship is to be held on Sunday 1st March at the Sydney Motorsport Park Druitt (North) Circuit.

Hosted by the NSW Road Racing Club

Preferential Entries (ie Championship Registrants Only) will open on 6th January and will be accepted in order of receipt. The acceptance of general entries commences on 20th January 2020.

All entries close 10:00am on Monday 24th February 2020.

Entry will be via the online Motorsport Australia Event Entry system. Entrants can access this system through the Motorsport Australia Member Portal on the Motorsport Australia homepage. You can login to this portal using your Motorsport Australia ID (licence number) and your Portal password.

Round 2, Sunday 26th April SMSP Gardner (GP) Circuit. Event Cancelled 31/3/2020.

Hosted by the Australian Racing Drivers Club

Round 2 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 health precautions put in place by the the National Cabinet and by the ARDC. Entries received will be moved to Round 6 which will be held on 1st November 2020. Please direct any related questions to the ARDC.

Round 3, Sunday 19th July Wakefield Park Raceway. Entries Closed.

Round 3 of the 2020 Motorsport Australia Zestino Tires NSW Supersprint Championship is to be held on Sunday 19th July at Wakefield Park Raceway.

This round will be hosted by the MX-5 Club of NSW.

This event is being run under a strict COVID plan, which has been approved by Motorsport Australia. We must adhere to this plan as part of our permit application. The parts of this plan relevant to entrants have been extracted into a separate COVID-19 information document. Entrants are expected to be intimately familiar with this information document.

Round 4, Sunday 9th August SMSP Amaroo (South) Circuit. Entries Closed.

Round 4 of the 2020 Motorsport Australia Zestino Tires NSW Supersprint Championship is to be held on Saturday 10th August at Sydney Motorsport Park Amaroo (South) Circuit.

Round 5, Sunday 18th October Wakefield Park Raceway. ENTRIES OPEN.

Round 5 of the 2020 Motorsport Australia Zestino Tires NSW Supersprint Championship has been rescheduled to be held on Sunday 18th October at Wakefield Park Raceway and hosted by the Mini Car Club of NSW, and is subject to final confirmation by the venue operator.

NSW Dept of Health recommendations commencing 19th August, designed to reduce regional transmission of Covid-19, have prompted Motorsport Australia to not permit State or National events to be held for at least the six week period as stipulated. Round 5 was originally within this 6 week period (20th September) and Wakefield Park has agreed to set the 18th October aside for Round 5 subject to the current booking not being confirmed by the end of September. We understand that the current booking is unlikely to be confirmed.

Preferential Entries (ie Championship Registrants Only) will open once our Permit is approved by Motorsport Australia and General Entries will open at a later date. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. Entry closing date will be advised, tentatively Sunday 4th October.

This event is being conducted under Covid-19 safety conditions which means that:
(a) No documentation checks / sign on will be conducted on the day, so all documents will need to be downloaded by the entrant with SSP 05C and SSP 21C being signed & completed then emailed to the Event Secretary before the closing date. This includes a declaration of current financial Motorsport Australia Affiliated Car Club membership.
(b) There will be no vehicle safety checks in the morning. All entrants will perform a Self Scrutiny Vehicle Check using form SSP 21C as above.
(c) There will be no Drivers Briefing, however drivers must download the Drivers Briefing Information Sheet then declare they have read in in form SSP 05C as above.

Round 6. Sunday 1st November SMSP Gardner (GP) Circuit. ENTRIES OPEN.

Originally, the Australian National Supersprint Championships were to be held on Sunday 1st November at the Sydney Motorsport Park Gardner (GP) Circuit in conjunction with Round 6 of the Motorsport Australia NSW Supersprint Championships.

However, Motorsport Australia has advised that no Australian National Championships are to be held while there are border closures in place. Accordingly, the Australian National Supersprint Championships will be rescheduled to November 2021, subject to the agreement of all stakeholders.

Preferential Entries (ie Championship Registrants Only – all States) are now open. Entries will be accepted in order of receipt with the acceptance of general entries commencing on 5th October 2020. All entries will close on Sunday 18th October 2020.

This event is being conducted under Covid-19 safety conditions which means that:
(a) No sign-on will be conducted on the day, so all documents will need to be completed and submitted online through the ARDC Competitor Portal.
(b) There will be no vehicle safety checks in the morning. All entrants are to perform a Self Scrutiny Vehicle Check and submit their completed and signed Self Scrutiny form to Scrutineering with Log Book and Registration Papers in order to receive a Scrutineering Label which is required prior to competing.
(c) There will be no Drivers Briefing, however drivers must download the Drivers Briefing Information Sheet then declare they have read it, via the ARDC Competitor Portal.
