It is very important that competitors read and understand the Supplementary Regulations as they contain all the detail you need to know for the event. The main things that become problems at scrutineering are (1) Fire extinguishers out of date (need to be less than 3 years old from manufacturing date), (2) Body and windscreen numbers not clear enough. (need to be in contrasting colour to body and large enough for the flaggies to read), (3) Tow points and battery position labelling not in place and (4) Cameras and other removable electronic devices without a secondary tether. Also make sure when signing on in the Hinxman Room that you have your Motorsport Australia licence card & passbook, Motorsport Australia Club Membership card, Motorsport Australia Log book (if applicable) and car registration papers (again if applicable). Finally, if it’s your first time on the Gardner Circuit you’ll need to display an “X” in tape on the back of your car about 150mm square.

Does your Road Registered Car have a Log Book? If not, see NSW Supersprint Panel Chair, Ian Williams in the Hinxman Room after the Drivers Briefing and make a time to have your car inspected for a Motorsport Australia Log Book. Why? Cars with Log Books become part of the Target Audit System and don’t have to join the scrutineering queue before every event. Its cheap and easy – please click here for more information.
