Saturday Evening 27th August 2022 – SMSP Gardner (GP) circuit. ENTRIES OPEN.

Round 5 of the 2022 Motorsport Australia NSW Supersprint Championship is to be held on Saturday 27th August on the Gardner (GP) circuit of Sydney Motorsport Park.

Series Production Electric Vehicles (EV’s) will be permitted to compete at this event in the Club Competition but will not be eligible to score Championship Points. All EV’s will compete in Class RR4 only and must comply with Type RR regulations, clause 2.14 of the Supplementary Regulations and the SSP 38 NSW Supersprint EV Safety Plan.

Entries will be accepted in order of receipt. Entries will close on Sunday 14th August 2022.

This event is being conducted under Return to Race safety conditions which means that:
(a) Event Entry is online via the Motorsport Australia member portal and online form SSP 09 Risk Warning, Disclaimer, Indemnity & Statement of Vehicle Compliance must be completed and submitted as well. Your entry will not be accepted until both forms have been submitted.
(b) Target audits of vehicles with Motorsport Australia log books and random audits of vehicles without a log book will be conducted throughout the day.
(c) Vehicle Registration Papers and/or Log Books are to be presented at Scrutineering. A Scrutineering Label is required prior to competing and will be issued once the scrutineering checks have been made. Helmet checks will be made at Scrutineering, apparel checks will be made at the time of audit.
(d) If the Log Book or Vehicle Registration papers are NOT in the Drivers name, an Automobile Legal Owners Declaration must be completed by the legal owner and presented at scrutineering. Drivers of double entered vehicles who are sharing the vehicle with the legal owner, are exempt from this requirement.
(e) Competitors must download and read the Drivers Briefing Information Sheet.
(f) If the Driver is under 18 years of age, a Parent/Guardian Consent must be downloaded, read, completed by the Parent/Guardian and submitted to Scrutineering/Check in on the day.

Note: This is an evening event. The Gardner paddock and garages will be in use by the daytime event competitors until 5:00pm. Scrutineering/Check in will be held in the Amaroo Scrutineering shed from 4:00pm. Before checking in, please first park in the Amaroo (South) circuit paddock or parking area opposite. The Drivers Briefing will be held outside the Amaroo circuit office at 4:45pm. It is expected that competitors will then be directed to relocate to their garages/carports on the Gardner paddock. Scrutineering and the Secretary of the Event will also relocate to the Gardner Scrutineering bay / Event Secretaries Office at the same time. Scrutineering / Check in will continue to 6:00pm, but will close during the Drivers Briefing. The Event commences at 5:30pm and concludes at 10:30pm.
