Saturday 27th January 2018
Don’t like scrutineering queues? The answer is to have your road registered car log booked so it can be part of the Target Scrutiny system and therefore not be required to join the scrutineering queue before each event commences.
Log booked cars are automatically in the Targeted Scrutiny System and this means their cars are only checked at every 4th event (or 12 months whichever comes first). Drivers in this system just have to present their helmets and log books to scrutineering to be issued with their scrutineering sticker. They will be advised at that time if an audit will take place that day and this will be conducted in the garage or carport where the car is located between sessions.
An inspection by qualified Log Book Scrutineers is required prior to submitting your CAMS Log Book Application.
To make this easier on competitors, a Pre CAMS Log Book Inspection Day for Road Registered Cars is planned to be held on Saturday 27th January 2018 in the Sydney Motorsport Park Amaroo Circuit Scrutineering Garages.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by midnight Saturday 13th January 2018.
If your EOI is accepted you will be emailed within 7 days from that date advising you of your cars acceptance (or otherwise). EOI’s will be accepted and time preferences allocated on a “first in” basis. There is a limit of 45 cars and registrants for the 2018 CAMS NSW Supersprint Championships will be given priority.
This day is conducted free of charge except for the one-time CAMS Log Book Application fee thanks to the support of the ARDC in providing the location and to both the CAMS NSW Supersprint and Scrutineering Panels.
Please email any questions to Ian Williams, Chair CAMS NSW Supersprint Panel at email@example.com.
Note: Only for Road registered cars (or those whose registration has recently elapsed) that don’t already have a CAMS Log Book.
